Cafe Managers are passionate about coffee and customer service. They are responsible to ensure that Caffe Vita customers receive excellent service and the highest quality coffee drinks, in a clean, organized and well maintained environment.
Responsibilities - Work with Marketing and Retail Operations Manager to support brand exposure and sales- driving strategies
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule and manage staff to meet, or exceed expectations of their job descriptions
- Work a minimum number of weekly bar shifts (minimum to be determined with Retail Operations Manager)
- Achieve sales goals and control costs of sales to meet established budgets
- Maintain a clean café
- Develop and execute on- going preventive maintenance and upkeep schedules
- Maintain fully stocked and faced merchandise shelves
- Ensure high customer satisfaction with service and product
- Follow established protocol for submitting orders to Customer Service
- Maintain full compliance with all accounting, financial reporting and cash deposit procedures
- Track and report payroll
- Review and respond to email on a daily basis
- Provide staff on- going opportunities to learn about Caffe Vita products, services and culture
- Serve as a role model for maintaining a calm environment during high- stress or high- volume periods
- Communicate clear performance objectives to staff
- Maintain and provide performance feedback for staff
Qualifications - Food and beverage management experience
- Advanced knowledge of the specialty coffee and tea markets
- Salesmanship and practical merchandising skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Diplomacy in managing conflict
- Goal- oriented with proven ability to beat project deadlines
- Solution oriented approach to challenges
- Multi- tasking skills
- On- the- job flexibility and dependability
- Ability to interpret and analyze income statements
Compensation & Benefits - $19 - $25/hr + Tips
- Tips typically average $15-$35 per hour depending on the location.
