CADD TECHNICIAN
Hinde Engineering is seeking a qualified and motivated candidate to fulfill a CADD technician role in our engineering department. Come work in a small team environment on large roadway and infrastructure projects all across the state of North Carolina.
The job duties require the utilization of Microstation V8i, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD Civil 3D softwares to provide support to project managers, designers, and utility coordinators by preparing utility construction plans and utilities by others plans on roadway and infrastructure projects involving NCDOT and multiple municipalities. The job involves working on various tasks across multiple projects simultaneously, with the support and instruction of internal team members and peers such as project managers, designers, and other technicians. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of drafting techniques in one or ideally both softwares and have familiarity with general engineering terminology.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing utility relocation designs and construction plans and profiles to project specific standards
Analyze projects for utility conflicts to determine necessary relocations
Analyze utility owner as-builts and system maps to compare for survey accuracy
Assist in production of project specifications & cost estimates
Assist in production of permit applications and accompanying documentation for submission to appropriate agencies such as railroads, NCDEQ, etc.
Education/Experience:
BS Degree in Civil Engineering or AS Degree Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent from two-year college or
technical school
Experience with roadway or infrastructure improvement projects is preferred
Experience with Microstation V8i, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
