Our Client in Sandusky, OH is looking for an experienced and/or certified CAD Operator.

Monday-Friday 6AM-2PM.

Pay: $20-$25HR DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews work order to determine critical dimensions of design.
  • Confers with Sales, Account Executives and customers to determine design specifications.
  • Enters design specifications into Artios program to create CAD files for producing samples for review and customer approval.
  • Uses CAD files to create layout for quoting and production of die for proper operation of cutting, stripping and blanking of jobs on cutters.
  • When die arrives from supplier, verifies dimensions, views and alignments of all parts in tooling.
  • Works to tolerances of +-1/32.
  • Documents production based on work instructions.
  • Performs regular maintenance on CAD Tables and records on maintenance log.
  • Works closely with all Departments on how jobs are running and with Printing for Coating Blankets.\Communicates as necessary with Plant Manager/Shift Supervisor, Graphics Department, Production Personnel and Office staff in an effective and professional manner to ensure smooth production, reduction of machine downtime and customer satisfaction.
  • Have ability to assist in the graphics department when necessary.
  • Cross trained on at least one other position.
  • Attend all department meetings.

Qualifications:

  • One year certificate from a college or technical scool in CAD or related field. At least 6 months experience preferred. Experience in paperboard industry is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintencace instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively write routine reports and correspondances.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to speak effectively befor groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to enter data into a computer.
  • Superior math ( add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals) and language skills.
  • Able to solve practival problems involving a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizzation exists.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs or up to 75lbs with assistance.
