Location: Sheet Metal Division, Musselburgh
Purpose and objectives of the role
Generate part drawings and CNC programs to enable the fabrication of sheet metal components according to customer requirements.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Generate part drawings and CNC programs to enable the production of sheet metal components based on customer requirements.
- Offline Programming of Trumpf Punch and Laser Machines.
- Create 2D and 3D models of parts to customers' designs.
- Generate and nest flat patterns and convert them to CNC programs for manufacture.
- Develop technical drawings/diagrams to assist shop floor operatives in specifying welding operations, bending operations, finish, etc.
Skills
- CNC Programming: 1 year (preferred)
Experience - CAD/CAM programming and experience working with Radan and Autodesk products.
- An enthusiastic self-starter with a good eye for detail and the ability to complete tasks/objectives.
- Good timekeeping and attendance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced technology production environment.
- Ability to work as a team member and assist in the smooth running of the department to meet required output.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Self-disciplined and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook.
