Cable Technician I with Security Clearance

GCyber is seeking a Cable Technician I, to support a high profile DISA customer. As a Cable Technician I, you will support and maintain the telecommunications and network infrastructure within a secure DoD environment. As a Cable Technician I, you will: Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic and CAT6 cabling systems to ensure robust network performance. Utilize network cabling test equipment to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues efficiently. Adhere to BICSI standards and safety regulations in all cabling activities. Collaborate with IT teams to support network upgrades, troubleshooting, and infrastructure maintenance. Organize, label, and document cabling infrastructure to ensure compliance and efficiency. Conduct routine maintenance checks and respond to trouble calls, providing timely and effective solutions to maintain uninterrupted network services. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Active DoD Secret security clearance Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience. 3+ years of related telecommunications experience 3+ years of experience working as a Cable Technician within the DoD environment Related certifications for Fiber Optic Cable and CAT6 Cable installation.
