Position - Cable Routing Engineer
Location: Aztec West, Bristol
Hybrid: Required in the office 3 days per week and 2 days remote

We are seeking an electrical engineer responsible for designing, developing, and reviewing the cable routing network for the HPC project, in accordance with UK cabling standards and nuclear regulations. The engineer will produce routing deliverables and conduct studies in specified buildings within the nuclear island using in-house routing software, focusing on the following tasks:
- Provide routing reports that ensure data integrity and meet project requirements, considering UK routing rules (lifetime margins, safety function integrity, electrical segregation, etc.).
- Interface with the layout team to provide routing reports, assess tray filling rates, and address queries related to 3D model quality, civil work electrical openings, and cable tray design.
- Assess feasibility of design changes or open points affecting routing activities, perform risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies for critical modifications.
- Provide feedback on routing software performance, troubleshoot issues, and participate in beta testing.
- Communicate progress and updates during weekly routing meetings with the layout team and management.
- Provide training on cable routing software, disciplines, rules, and regulations.
- Participate in experience sharing activities, including evaluating potential integrations from other projects for HPC.
Required Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of RCC-E electrical regulations and standards such as NFC15-100, NF C 13-200, BS7671, IEC 60909.
- Understanding of the nuclear sector through education or professional experience.
- Experience with quality processes in industrial nuclear projects.
- Proficiency with CAD tools: PDMS/E3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
