What You'll Do - Lead C5ISR Projects: Serve as the technical and program lead for the development and deployment of a GCCS-J based JCOP system and other C5ISR capabilities.
- Drive Integration: Lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT), coordinating closely with functional leads in logistics, testing, training, cybersecurity, and more.
- Bridge User Needs and Tech: Translate user and stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements and actionable solutions.
- Coordinate Across Teams: Collaborate with engineering, business, contracts, logistics, cyber, test, and finance functions within the program office.
- Engage Key Stakeholders: Work closely with PMOs, CCDC partners, test centers, and other government agencies to ensure smooth execution across the board.
- Contribute to Key Documents: Draft statements of work (SOWs), MOAs, acquisition documents, cost analyses, and more to support successful project execution.
- Support Fielding & Testing: Oversee system integration, participate in design and documentation reviews, and ensure systems meet mission objectives.
- Communicate with Impact: Prepare and deliver briefings to program leadership and customers, while contributing to systems like the risk register and information support plans.
- Provide support for interoperability certification, fielding, and logistics planning.
- Navigate and manage complex approval chains and government processes to secure project authorizations
- Travel to DoD and contractor sites as required (less than 10%).
Requirements- U.S. Citizenship (required due to contract sensitivity).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in C5ISR systems engineering or related disciplines.
- In-depth experience with DoD ground vehicle systems and architectures.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- GCCS-J, Link 16, GCCS-M, CPCE, C2PC, TAK, Agile Client, Blue Force Tracker (BFT), and Joint Battle Command Platform (JBCP).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to guide teams, gain consensus, and communicate technical details clearly.
- Self-starter with a proven ability to operate independently while delivering high-quality results.
- Solid understanding of technical requirements development and program management fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience operationalizing COP systems such as Joint Tactical COP Workstation (JTCW) on vehicle platforms.
- Understanding of message formats and protocols including JSON and VMF.
- Familiarity with Joint interoperability certification requirements and testing processes.
- Background in DoD roles such as JICO, 25U, 25B, S6, or similar.
- Knowledge of and experience with:
- HMS radios and waveforms (e.g., SINCGARS, VULOS, MUOS, TSM)
- DoD GPS systems (DAGR, MAPS GEN II), HF radio, and commercial satellite communication systems.
- PEO C3T organizations and platforms.
- Working knowledge of DoD instructions such as CJCSI 3151.01D, 3151.02, and 3155.01B.
- Understanding of DoD SIPR networks and satellite services (e.g., SNOC, GAIT).
- Familiarity with the DoD acquisition process, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Systems Engineering lifecycle.
- Experience supporting a DoD Program Management Office (PMO).
- Previous experience in a Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) role is highly desirable.
- Involvement in fielding, training, logistics, and support for DoD system deployments.
