JOB TITLE: Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence (C5I) Engineer Senior

HOURS WORKED: 40 Per week
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 10%
SALARY:MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Support the C5I GM as required in the delivery of cross-functional (Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Systems, Cyber System Architectures)
- Provide engineering services for a broad spectrum of C5ISR capabilities for USCG cutter systems
- Assist with design and integration efforts of C5ISR systems & technologies across maritime platforms
- Participate in the coordination of technical and assessment activities internal and external to the Waterways Commerce Cutter (WCC) Program Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), including program, engineering, and IS&T disciplines, SMEs, suppliers, and Birdon customers and other US Government agencies/regulations as required
- Develop specifications and design artifacts to achieve engineering and cybersecurity (CS) deliverables such as drawings, specifications, network architectures, system interfaces, and Network/Navigation system configurations
- Participate in development and implementation of improvement and recovery plans and ensure they are issued, tracked, and reported on as required for supply base management and improvement
- Create design presentations and brief customers as needed on behalf of government sponsors.
- Draft technical reports such as site surveys, test procedures, test reports, trade studies, and white papers. Write and support executive level papers/briefs for submission.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE: - Post high school educational experience in C5ISR and/or Systems Engineering
- Five to 10 years' experience in C5ISR system design and integration
- Military experience in current and/or emerging C5ISR areas: navigation, networks, and communication systems, cyber security.
REQUIRED / DESIRED SKILLS: - Working knowledge of C5I systems, sensors, and interfaces
- Proven knowledge and proficiency of system engineering processes to execute a cradle-to-grave solution
- Educational or practical experience knowledge of cybersecurity and risk management, and NIST and NEI cybersecurity controls
- SME knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., NIST 800 Series, etc., NEI-08-09, Regulatory Guide 5.71), especially Risk Management Framework (or comparable)
- GISCP or CISSP security certifications achieved or in process of achieving
- Effective at using data, logic, and instincts to identify opportunities, problems and execute solutions
- Ability to capture requirements, scope of customer's desired systems, and develop compliant system solutions
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written at all levels within the company and with the customer community
- One or more IAT Level II Certifications (Security+, Network+, A+, GSEC, SSCP) or AV/VTC experience
- Experience leading small teams.

WORKING CONDITIONS: - This role will require some domestic travel
- Position requires use of computer, telephones, and other office equipment, reading, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
