C++ Software Engineer

TITLE: C Software Engineer (US Citizenship is REQUIRED) RATE RANGE: $60/hr - $68/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract) CLEARANCE: Secret, obtainable within reasonable time based on requirements LOCATION: ONSITE in Scottsdale, AZ 85257 SCHEDULE: 9/80 (every other Friday off) No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099-US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. QUALIFICATIONS: As a Software Engineer, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for development and test of specialized solutions that are used by our warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments, whether urban, canyon, mountains, or jungles - or even the Arctic Circle. The system provides a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system. Not only do we maintain the current live system, but you will help add new capabilities, enhancements and replaces end of life components. REQUIREMENTS Ability to lead the software development process Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Embedded real-time operating systems (VxWorks, Integrity, PetaLinux) Significant C programing experience. Agile experience preferred. EDUCATION REQUIRED Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
