We are seeking a highly organized and people-oriented Field Crew Administrator to support our growing Commercial & Industrial (C&I) division. This hybrid role will serve as a key link between our field installation teams and office staff, helping to streamline operations, support team development, and ensure our projects run efficiently and safely.

Essential Job Functions & Key Responsibilities:

Field Team Oversight & Scheduling
  • Manage Personnel, scheduling, workload distribution, and track job site progress for C&I installation crews
  • Monitor and adjust weekly crew assignments and resources based on project needs
  • Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are upheld across all field operations
  • Provide occasional hands-on field labor support when necessary
  • Participate in site survey work to support the sales pipeline
Training & Development
  • Coordinate with Workforce Development on hiring, certifications, and continuing education
  • Facilitate onboarding, quarterly check-ins, and performance review processes
  • Mentor field team members and advocate for DEI and mental health initiatives
Personnel Management
  • Approve timesheets, reimbursements, travel bonuses, and time-off requests
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and addressing performance issues with field crew members
  • Maintain accurate job descriptions and manage relationships with temp labor agencies
Operations & Logistics
  • Oversee budgeting, distribution, and tracking of field gear, uniforms, and toolkits
  • Coordinate travel accommodations within project budgets
  • Assist with administrative tasks like U-Dig permits, equipment rentals, and asset tracking
Communication & Collaboration
  • Act as the primary liaison between field crews and leadership
  • Monitor team communication tools (Slack, email, etc.)
  • Support after-hours or on-call needs (e.g., lodging updates, urgent field issues)
  • Help organize team events and appreciation efforts
Work Environment
  • Hybrid position - approximately 50% remote and 50% in-person, with on-site presence required for collaboration with field crews and internal team members.
  • Primarily sedentary with occasional physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs., working at heights)
  • On-call availability required for occasional field team support
Education & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in solar installation or a related construction field
  • Experience with commercial PV installation and a working knowledge of NEC code
  • Prior experience in team or personnel administration is a plus
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities
  • Able to work independently and exercise sound judgment in dynamic environments
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required
  • Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel to project sites (1x/month)
Perks & Benefits:
  • Annual salary range of $60,000 - $70,000
  • Weekly pay
