C Developer / Software Engineer (Linux & Windows) - Cambridge / WFH to £65k

As a C Developer, you will be part of the team responsible for creating client desktop software that is a key component of the core remote access technology. You will have exposure across the full development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to design, development, and testing, with a focus on backend C services that require scalability, handle large data volumes, and must be security compliant.
Initially, you'll work on a large project to develop the mobile application of this desktop product using Flutter and Dart (these can be learned on the job). Upcoming projects include cryptography work. There is a strong pipeline of projects to keep your work engaging.
Location / WFH:
You will work in a friendly and supportive team environment, with most work from home, and meet colleagues in the Cambridge office once a month.
About You:
- You have strong C development skills
- You have cross-platform experience (Linux and Windows)
- You possess a good understanding of networking technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, multicast) and security principles/regulations
- You are collaborative with clear, concise communication skills
- You hold a relevant degree (e.g., Computer Science)
- Experience with Video codecs, Flutter/Dart mobile development is a plus, but can be learned on the job
