C Developer for a
Contract job with a client in
Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid) . Responsibilities include designing and maintaining core operating system components and troubleshooting complex software issues to ensure system reliability.
Rate Range: $70/hour to $90/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
C Developer job responsibilities include: - Design, implement, and maintain core operating system components such as memory allocation, file systems, network drivers, and process management.
- Develop and optimize software using C and C programming languages.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles, data structures, and algorithms to build efficient and scalable systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues to ensure system stability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver software solutions.
- Utilize software design patterns and architectural approaches to ensure robust and maintainable code.
- Work with low-level system concepts, including operating system internals and hardware interactions.
- Continuously improve the performance and scalability of existing systems.
Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in C/C development and system-level programming.
- Proven experience in kernel-level development and system architecture design.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, with the ability to resolve complex software and hardware issues.
