Senior Business Systems Analyst

Purpose/Objective:

This global asset mangement firm has a presence in 25+ countries.

They are actively ramping up their business development, sales, and marketing efforts, and it is expected that Technology will be a key enabler in this regard. The Technology team is creating a new role to build strong collaboration with our business leaders in this space, and ultimately to align our organization to our stated business strategy. This role will combine engagement management and business systems analysis to allow IT to develop a successful partnership in enabling our business teams to achieve their objectives.

The successful candidate will build a trusted partnership with the business leadership in Sales and Business Development. They will gain an understanding of strategy and priorities. We will evolve and apply a digital strategy to partner in delivering technology solutions to successfully enable the Sales and Marketing teams. They will liaise with other IT teams to bring ideas to the table, emphasizing those we can leverage in multiple/global locations, where possible. The successful candidate will help define and design a "suite of tools" for business partners to use on multiple devices from anywhere they might be working, whether in an office or on the road. This analyst will evaluate integrated solutions comprising of a CRM and integrated systems, sales enablement devices (hand-helds, etc), mobile apps and mobile-accessible reports and dashboard, and team collaboration tools. They may work with the business on other related activities for branding, marketing, and social media, playing a role in connecting these activities to the ongoing Adobe web program. They will develop a road map to design and deliver solutions, and they will participate in the delivery of approved initiatives.

The Sr. BSA must have good business analysis and systems analysis experience in financial services. Experience supporting and delivering solutions for Sales, Business Development, and Marketing (some, or all, of these) is essential, as is knowledge and expertise in related technologies such as CRM, sales dashboards, and collaboration platforms. Excellent communication and relationship building skills are necessary, and analytical skills are important. The position requires a high degree of global collaboration amongst technical stakeholders with a focus on US business partners. The person must possess a true team orientation and collaborative style to ensure success and satisfaction in their role.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Application Management, technology teams, third party vendors to establish and evolve a systemic portfolio directed at supporting Pioneer's Sales, Business Development & Marketing teams.
  • Define and manage the business requirements, including change control and release methodologies.
  • Prepare detailed business documentation and specifications, including use cases, context diagrams, business process flows.
  • Review/participate in defining test strategies, as well as coordinate user acceptance testing efforts
  • Effectively communicate the progress of multiple projects to management, and engage stakeholders regularly
  • Acquire and constantly increase industry subject matter expertise, understanding competitive positioning in the marketplace, industry initiatives and vendor solutions
  • Participate in incident/crisis management to assess business impact, determine/facilitate any workarounds, in concert with the production support organization
  • Perform data analysis and broker integrations across multiple technology platforms
Requirements/Skills:
Bachelor's degree is required
  • 5+ years business analysis experience with Sales/CRM technologies
  • 5+ years' experience in the financial services industry; notably in the specified business areas
  • Strong relationship and communication skills
  • Full understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Technical aptitude is not a primary need, but any and all knowledge of tools such as SharePoint 2013, Visio, SQL, and Business Objects enhance the candidates fit
