Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst with deep expertise in Workday Financial modules to join our dynamic IT team. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting the company's financial systems by providing both technical and functional Workday administration. The successful candidate will define business and system requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead or assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical financial systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Financials and its integrations with internal and third-party systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Lead or assist in the delivery of IT development services across the company, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
- Provide technical administration for Workday, including Workday Studio integrations, data loads, troubleshooting, and scheduled tasks.
- Design and execute test plans to ensure systems meet specified requirements and perform as expected.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Monitor and troubleshoot job scheduling issues using a Job Scheduler, ensuring timely execution of critical processes.
- Create, modify, and support reports and dashboards using tools such as Snowflake, Crystal Reports, or QlikSense.
- Write and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts to support data analysis, integration, and reporting tasks.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to design solutions that are scalable, efficient, and compliant with IT best practices.
- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior analysts and business partners.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, with at least 3 years supporting Workday Financials.
- Strong understanding of Workday Studio and Workday Financial modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Expenses, etc.).
- Proficiency in SQL, Java or JavaScript, and experience with Job Scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys, or similar).
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Snowflake, Crystal Reports, or QlikSense.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the financial services or banking industry.
- Workday certification in Financial Management or Workday Studio.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
