What You'll Do As a Business Systems Analyst

In Summary

Working directly under the company's CTO, this role will be the crucial bridge between our business operations and technology teams, analyzing business processes, documenting system requirements, and implementing technology solutions that enhance our class action administration services.

  • Analyze current business processes and systems used in class action administration, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand needs and develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Alteryx, and SQL.
  • Gather and document business requirements from various stakeholders, including claims processing teams, the finance department, and client services.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Design and implement new systems or enhancements to existing platforms that support claims management, fund distribution, and notification processes.
  • Design and recommend Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements, considering best practices and system capabilities.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects within Salesforce and Microsoft development frameworks, including scope definition, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
  • Develop test plans and conduct user acceptance testing to ensure systems meet requirements.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for all systems and processes.
  • Provide training and support to end users on new or updated systems.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with the CTO on strategic technology planning to support business growth.
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements affecting class action administration.

What You Need to Be Successful
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, and 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis and documentation techniques.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, use case development, and workflow mapping.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with class action administration or legal services
  • Knowledge of claims processing systems
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools
  • CBAP, PMP, or other relevant certifications
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
