Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst (Mid) is responsible for leading the collection, analysis, and documentation of mission user needs to support the development and deployment of technology solutions. This role serves as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring that user perspectives are reflected throughout the product lifecycle. The analyst supports backlog development, facilitates requirements gathering, and focuses on usability, user engagement, and operational alignment. The position also involves documenting business rules and workflows, conducting impact analysis, and supporting teams with clear and actionable insights.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from initial prioritization through user story development.
  • Facilitate the gathering of business requirements to support product teams and ensure user perspectives shape backlog items.
  • Focus on improving usability, user experience, and engagement throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify and decompose core business needs into concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and user stories.
  • Document business rules and develop workflow diagrams to illustrate key processes.
  • Provide consultative support on complex projects by evaluating the business impact of technology solutions.
  • Analyze, interpret, and synthesize documentation to support informed decision-making.
  • Solve problems that involve multiple options and variables, using intermediate-level analytical and quantitative skills.
Requirements

Required Minimum Education
  • Education should be consistent with experience. Relevant experience and professional certifications can outweigh the need for a formal college degree
Required Years of Experience
  • 5 years of relevant professional work experience
Required Skills, Qualifications, Technical Experience, etc.
  • Fully Adjudicated Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance or greater
Preferred Skills, Qualifications, Technical Experience, etc.
  • Cybersecurity SIEM (Splunk, Elastic)
  • Microsoft Power Platform (PowerBI, Power App, Power Automate)
  • Experience with Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk, etc.)

  • Splunk Core Certified Power User
