The Business Systems Analyst - Finance is the technical liaison between the Information Technology and Finance Teams having both business and technical expertise. This team member will work on advanced, complex technical projects and business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, and services. The Business Systems Analyst - Finance will be the subject matter expert in all aspects of Warehousing and Transportation Rating, Invoicing, Collections, and Vendor Payments. This role will also design and support financial integrations between Operational Applications (Warehouse Management Systems and Transportation Management Systems) and our Financial ERP Application.
Requirements and Responsibilities
- Business Systems Analyst reviews, analyzes and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies.
- Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation.
- Develops process documentation and project plans. Creates flowcharts, process maps, and diagrams.
- Supports cross-functional activities and working sessions during projects' design and implementation phases.
- Designs and prepares documentation, training materials, and communications supporting new processes. May deliver training to impacted business units.
- Works autonomously.
- Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms.
- Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
- Requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.
