Job Title:Business Operations Analyst 1

Department:Public Health College Administration

This position serves as the initial point of contact for division-based faculty, staff, and student employees in the College of Public Health (CPH) by providing guidance and support to CPH division chairs and faculty members with general administrative tasks, including calendaring for the division chairs, scheduling division meetings, and assisting with and executing division-initiated events (reserve venue, develop and distribute invitation, collect RSVPs, order and facilitate meal plans, etc.); maintains list serves for division faculty, staff, students, and lecturers and initiates requests to the CPH marketing and communications portal for newsletter submissions; initiate and respond to requests on behalf of division chairs.


Provides high level customer service ensuring business transaction processing is timely, efficient, accurate and in compliance with university policies; monitors transaction status for all open requisitions, spend authorizations, and expense reports, escalates transaction issues to the Business Operations Manager and/or Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration when appropriate; serves as liaison to the Travel Office, Business and Finance Procurement Shared Service Center, the PCard Office, Accounts Payable, Shipping and Receiving, and other offices as necessary to identify and resolve issues related to transaction processing. Assists vendors with account setup in Workday; acts as PCard manager by managing departmental purchasing cards; orders equipment and supplies upon request.


Business Operations Analyst 1 is responsible for providing back-up and cross-coverage support to other team members as needed. Assists with the development and continuous improvement of detailed standard operating processes related to the role and creates training materials to facilitate back-up and cross-coverage.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience

Pay Range: $20.02 - $26.33

Pay will be determined from candidate education, experience, and internal equity.
