Position Overview: Throckmorton Collegiate ISD is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Business Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of the district's business and finance office. This individual will manage budgeting, accounting, purchasing, payroll, and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate financial leadership, integrity, and a commitment to supporting the district's educational mission through sound fiscal management.

Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage all aspects of the district's financial operations, including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, purchasing, and grants.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate financial audits and prepare annual financial statements and reports.
- Work with the superintendent and school board on budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Supervise business office staff and ensure effective internal controls and workflow processes.
- Support campus and district leadership in financial decision-making and policy implementation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of school finance laws and best practices.
- Attend relevant training and networking events to stay informed of changes in public school finance.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- TASBO certification or willingness and ability to earn certification within a reasonable timeframe is required.
- Experience in school district business or financial operations strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of TEA financial coding and school district software systems (Ascender) is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
