Job Title:Business Manager 1 (HS)Department:Health System Shared Services Financial Administration-Interim
This position manages business processes to ensure department operations efficiency. This position monitors, coordinates, researches, analyzes, and tracks the monthly department expenditures. The business manager analyzes trends and makes recommendations for the yearly departmental budgets for supplies, equipment and services. The position researches and verifies charges and contacts vendors to reduce department expenses for approved items. Monitors, tracks and investigates actual expenses, reconciles against approved budget, and corrects accounting errors, with Finance. Follows-up with vendors and/or Finance when there are late or missing invoices. Additionally, responsible to track salaries and positions, reconcile against budget, and maintain the department's organizational chart. Brings variances to the attention of the Directors. Follows and educates staff on travel and purchasing policies. Provides administrative support for directors.
