(BI/SQL and Reporting Manager) for a

(Buffalo NY 14203). (We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence & Reporting Manager with expertise in architecting diverse datasets, integrations, and Microsoft PowerBI Platform to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our organization, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of our reporting & business intelligence strategies and solutions. The successful candidate will leverage their experience in managing dataset creation and Power BI proficiency to drive data-driven decision-making processes and provide valuable insights to enhance business performance.)
Salary Range: $120k/year to $130k/year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive business intelligence strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
2. Power BI Implementation: Design, develop, and implement datasets (Semantic Models) in PowerBI.
Design, develop, and implement Power BI reports and dashboards to support various business functions.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within Power BI solutions.
Keep abreast of the latest Power BI features and incorporate them into our BI environment.
3. Microsoft SQL Reporting Services: Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reports and artifacts.
Understand how to use TFS/Git for version control on reporting artifacts.
4. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Conduct in-depth analysis of business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
5. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of BI analysts and developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Provide guidance on best practices for Power BI development and usage.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to ensure comprehension and utilization of BI outputs.
7. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality and integrity.
Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Manager with a focus on Power BI.
- In-depth knowledge of Power BI functionalities, RLS (row-level security), data modeling, and DAX.
- Strong SQL development experience
- SSRS Reporting Experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing BI teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:- Experience with other BI tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
- Certifications in Power BI or related fields.
