Contract - 5 months, Location - London (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Our client's BI team seeks a business intelligence engineer to support strategy and performance. You will be responsible for producing key business reports for leadership, building scalable data solutions for complex problems, and performing ad-hoc deep dives to better understand and evaluate performance metrics. You will collaborate with upstream tech teams to create complex data ingestion pipelines for critical data sources and develop actionable KPIs for business teams. Additionally, you will work with key stakeholders from Finance and Business organizations to identify challenges and translate them into technical requirements that can be addressed with BI and Analytics tools.

- Owning business-critical reporting used globally by hundreds of users, from developing and maintaining large-scale data structures and ETL pipelines to creating reports in Quicksight or Excel
- Gathering business requirements from stakeholders in Finance and Business teams and translating them into scalable, automated solutions
- Providing analysis, insights, and recommendations on business metrics to optimize operations and decision-making
- Building strong relationships with Data Engineering and Analytics Tooling teams to improve upstream data sources and develop scalable, accurate reporting processes
Basic qualifications
- Experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, or similar
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with statistical analysis packages like R, SAS, or Matlab
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting (Python) for data processing and modeling
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, and working with large, complex datasets in a business environment
