Job Purpose
Herc Equipment Rentals is seeking a talented and innovative Business Intelligence Developer to join our dynamic team in beautiful Bonita Springs, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in front-end report and dashboard development, and an ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. This role requires a creative thinker who can work well with business partners to understand their needs and articulate technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain Qlik Sense dashboards and reports across all functional lines of business.
- Work in Teradata data warehouse to build performant views in support of Qlik reports.
- Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and implement innovative solutions to meet business needs.
- Articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data presented in reports.
- Work closely with the IT team to integrate Qlik Sense applications with other systems.
- Focus on continuous improvement by analyzing existing reports to streamline poor performing queries and UIs.
- Stay updated on the latest Qlik Sense features and best practices.
- Maintain focus on information security.
Requirements
- Experience working in the Equipment Rental industry preferred.
- Proven experience developing front-end reporting - preferably in Qlik Sense, but open to experience in similar tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of complex SQL queries, with experience using Teradata a plus.
- Ability to work well with business partners to understand and fulfill their requirements.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
