Position: Business Intelligence Analyst

We're on the lookout for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our finance team as a Business Intelligence Analyst. The Finance team is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst as part of the global finance support for our Envirologix business. This position will play a key role in executing the strategy to drive sustainable improvements across our financial processes, systems, and reporting/planning capabilities to scale for future growth. The culture of the team is to work as a group, be flexible and willing to jump into the broader team responsibilities. What You'll Do:


  • Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with key stakeholders across the business to define, develop and operationalize the future state reporting and advanced analytics to drive insights for the organization
  • Play a key role in both long-term and short-term financial process and controls delivering accurate and efficient financial systems and data.
  • Responsible for efficient, thoughtful, and scalable data production to meet operational excellence, deliver high-value business insights through front-end visualization tools, application of modelling and analytics to generate new insights at scale, and engage with technology partners to accelerate data and process transformation.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of financial models and reports that provide insight into financial performance.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert on financial systems/centralized and standardized reporting
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify underlying trends, forecast long-term performance, and formulate recommendations for strategic enhancements.
  • Deliver reports (daily sales, expected to ship, etc.), analyses and recommendations to improve business processes and financial strategies.
  • Bridge the analytical and reporting gap from Salesforce (our Demand funnel) and Power BI (sales reporting)
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance leadership and internal teams to evolve and expand our strategic financial capabilities, along with development and management of reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Translate complex financial data into understandable and actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify new opportunities for advanced analytics and digital transformation for the Finance organization.
  • Support the revenue budgeting/forecasting processes by providing data-driven, modeled insights.
  • Champion data accuracy and integrity in all financial reporting, establishing validation protocols to ensure data quality and privacy standards.
  • Oversee and lead the team through the development of documentation including design, requirements, and user training
  • Vena (financial ERP consolidation/reporting overlay) and other system support

Reports To: Director of Finance


The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Analytics. The right candidate should be a self-starter with a track record of success and strong interpersonal skills. This person should have the ability to be an individual contributor and work well in a team environment.


Skills Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Business Intelligence, Systems, Data Analytics, Financial Planning, or similar role, with proven experience building visually appealing dashboards using financial data.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Experience in process improvement, automation, design, development, and deployment of automated reporting
  • Expertise in business intelligence tools and data visualization software, specifically Power BI.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VBA, power query, cube values) and proficiency in the Microsoft O365 suite
  • Understanding of data architecture and reporting platform architecture requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels
  • Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Advanced degree or certification in business analytics or a related field.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive forecasting methods.
  • Experience with big data platforms and technologies like Snowflake and AWS
  • Experience with developing Generative AI and Machine learning models are a plus.
  • Experience with data tools and programming languages including SQL & Python and data modeling, database design development and data cleansing.
  • Advanced understanding of Finance Reporting Systems (Oracle Hyperion/EPM Cloud) or SAP is a plus.
