Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Hybrid Analyst/Data Scientist to join our team. This role will initially focus on analysis and gradually shift towards data science as our organization evolves. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing our business intelligence capabilities and contributing to the development of a cutting-edge knowledge management system. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain interactive Plotly dashboards and web applications using Python, HTML/CSS/JS, and modern web libraries (e.g., Dash, Flask, Pandas, Polars) Collaborate with back-end engineers to migrate our database from a traditional AWS EC2 instance to a PostgreSQL database deployed via a Gitlab pipeline Contribute to the development of a data warehouse, ETL pipelines, and analysis reports in Tableau Utilize DevSecOps to create and deploy web applications, and display dynamic visualizations Work with GitLab CI/CD flow and configuration for deployment, and understand Docker for build jobs and development Participate in the development of a knowledge management system using a data lake house, ontology, and graph-based database, enabling the creation of AI/ML tools to support less-technical users Why BAE Systems? Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree (8 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in data/software engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technologies) Experience analyzing data and creating reports with traditional business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Python, and SQL Ability to develop and deploy web applications using Plotly, Docker, and GitLab Understanding of data models and the ability to provide feedback about useful fields from disparate data sources Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to help others understand tools, technologies, and processes used to solve a problem Self-motivated and able to work well under minimal supervision Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Cross-functional business experience, such as project management/computer science or sales and marketing/data science Experience with government/military acquisitions Superior organizational skills and an affinity for detail Willingness to recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $106654 - $181311 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
