Business Financial Analyst with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Business Financial Analyst / Audit Readiness Analyst to support an Army program on-site in D.C. / Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial management, audit readiness, and data analytics within a federal or DOD landscape. This position requires an active Secret clearance . Responsibilities for the Business Financial Analyst / Audit Readiness Analyst include: Enhance financial reporting and process automation using Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps. Identify improvement areas in existing systems and workflows, ensuring alignment with business and compliance objectives. Analyze financial data for decision-making, support risk assessments, and recommend mitigation strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to gather and document business and financial requirements. o Conduct interviews, workshops, and analysis of existing financial and operational systems to define functional and non-functional requirements. Qualifications for the Business Financial Analyst / Audit Readiness Analyst include: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four to seven (4-7) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with financial management, audit readiness, or DoD financial reporting is strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and robotic process automation (RPA) tools preferred. Familiarity with DoD financial management, budget execution, and audit compliance tracking is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and business requirements into technical solutions. Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S Government Secret Clearance. Compensation for the Business Financial Analyst / Audit Readiness Analyst includes: Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 depending on experience Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
