About The Role
As a Business Development Representative, you'll play an important role in helping Psych Plus grow by building relationships with healthcare providers and identifying new referral opportunities. This is a field-based position, ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the community, meeting with providers face-to-face, and helping connect patients to much-needed behavioral health services. You'll support the team by identifying potential partners, setting up introductory meetings, and helping implement strategies to grow our presence in key markets.
Responsibilities
- Visit clinics, hospitals, and provider offices across a designated region to promote Psych Plus services and strengthen referral partnerships.
- Research and identify new business opportunities within the local healthcare community.
- Learn about industry trends and provider needs to support outreach strategies.
- Schedule and attend meetings with potential partners to introduce Psych Plus offerings.
- Support the sales and outreach team with follow-up communication and relationship management.
- Help maintain tracking of outreach efforts, contacts, and meeting notes in CRM or other tools.
- Provide weekly updates to the team on progress, new leads, and outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support onboarding of new provider partners.
Requirements
- 2 years of mental health experience required
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Must be willing to travel frequently
- 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, community outreach, or healthcare support roles preferred (internships or campus roles count.).
- Passion for healthcare and interest in behavioral health.
- Strong people skills-you enjoy talking to new people and building connections.
- Organized and reliable-you can manage a schedule and follow up without being reminded.
- Comfortable working independently on the road while staying connected to a collaborative team.
- Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.

Additional Information
The expected base salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 annually at the start of employment. Total compensation for this role may exceed $100,000 annually when including incentive pay, discretionary bonuses, and short- or long-term performance-based incentives. Final base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors such as location and years of experience.
