We're looking for a Business Development Representative to generate new business, build strong client relationships, and deliver customized signage solutions that make an impact.
Our client is seeking someone to be on the front lines of driving new business and expanding their footprint in the local and corporate markets. You'll be responsible for identifying new prospects, cultivating strategic relationships, and delivering customized signage and branding solutions that help organizations stand out.
Daily Duties:
- Proactively seek out new client opportunities by engaging with key decision-makers, business owners, and community partners.
- Use a multi-channel approach-including outbound calling, in-person networking, digital outreach, and email campaigns-to build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Respond to proposal requests and bid submissions with precision, ensuring submissions are competitive, compliant, and compelling.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with procurement departments and enterprise clients to streamline the path to new contracts.
- Conduct discovery meetings and on-site consultations to identify client needs and present value-driven visual communication strategies.
- Guide clients through our full service offering-from initial concept through installation-working hand-in-hand with internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Foster long-term partnerships that lead to repeat engagements and referrals by consistently delivering results and value.
- Track outreach efforts, client interactions, and deal progress using a CRM platform, and regularly report on performance metrics like lead activity, deal flow, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in outside sales, business development, or account management-preferably in a B2B, target-driven environment.
- A self-starter mindset with a strong work ethic and persistence. You don't get discouraged by rejection-you get energized by results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. You're comfortable pitching ideas and closing deals across channels.
- A consultative approach to sales-able to assess a client's goals and craft custom solutions that align with their brand and marketing strategy.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and digital prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Experience with internal POS systems is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of productivity tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to work collaboratively across departments to ensure client success.
Preferred:
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience.
- A background in industries such as retail, construction, marketing, property management, or other client-facing roles.
- Familiarity with visual communications, branding, or the signage industry.
