Gameface has just completed the hire of a great local sales leader for this business, with deep experience in early stage tech, data, finance and corporate environments. This role is an amazing chance to work for a real AI data business but also directly into a great mentor (the role is their sole report). At the same time we need someone who can self-direct and come up with ideas in a sophisticated sales environment.

About You
We are looking for a highly driven and results-oriented junior sales professional. You must have a demonstrable "hunter" mentality and a track record for building pipeline, ideally for a data, SaaS or complex / nuanced proposition.
Unlike most BDR roles, you will have may also be charged with helping grow existing local accounts, as they have a really growing US client base. However bringing in high quality leads is the real focus.
Bonus for:
- A passion or experience with data / analytics
- An understanding of the US oil and gas / energy sector
- Exposure to the world of commodity trading, private equity and/or hedge funds
- Account management / client success experience
In terms of core skills, we expect:
- Strong written skills and proven ability of writing compelling outreach
- A willingness to pick up the phone consistently and book meetings
- Knowledge of how to map and research prospects
- Experience with modern prospecting methodologies and tools
- 2-5 years in a SaaS, data or complex B2B enterprise business
You are a natural communicator and relationship builder. You are proactive, resilient, and thrive in a target-driven, start-up environment. Your CV must specifically demonstrate an ability to consistently achieve and surpass sales goals.
The Role
- Collaborate with the Sales leader to map the US market and book meetings / demos and other commercial appointments
- Research key targets in energy, finance and oil and gas
- Plan for and attend key industry events
- Identify and aggressively pursue new business opportunities, effectively articulating the value proposition of our client's data and analytics solutions
- Collaborate closely with a central BDR team, product and marketing teams to refine messaging and local marketing efforts
- Work with one other sales leader in New York to support other new business efforts
- Build knowledge of a wide range of data products, and translate that into impactful messaging
- Quality opportunities based on their short and long term potential
- Accurately and methodically track prospecting activites and results in CRM
