Position Overview
Atlantic Employee Screening is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our expanding team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key part in growing our client base by connecting with companies in need of background screening services.
As a BDR, you'll focus on pre- and post-trade show engagement, inbound lead management, and strategic relationship building. While outbound prospecting is not the primary focus, we value individuals who are proactive, goal-oriented, and ready to engage in outbound outreach when needed to support growth initiatives.
This position is to be in-office at our Palm Beach Gardens location.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre- and post-event outreach to maximize trade show opportunities and nurture relationships.
- Attend 2-3 industry conferences annually (travel required) to network and build strategic partnerships.
- Field and qualify inbound leads, ensuring seamless follow-up and engagement.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers across various industries.
- Proactively identify and research potential clients that would benefit from Atlantic Employee Screening's services.
- Conduct outbound prospecting efforts as needed via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and marketing, to align business development efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities and lead progression within the company's CRM system (ActiveCampaign).
- Stay up to date on industry trends, background screening regulations, and the competitive landscape.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a client-facing role is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Comfort with learning new technologies, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to network effectively and establish long-term business relationships.
- A team player with a collaborative mindset and a passion for problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel for industry events (2-3 times per year).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
