Position Overview

Atlantic Employee Screening is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our expanding team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key part in growing our client base by connecting with companies in need of background screening services.

As a BDR, you'll focus on pre- and post-trade show engagement, inbound lead management, and strategic relationship building. While outbound prospecting is not the primary focus, we value individuals who are proactive, goal-oriented, and ready to engage in outbound outreach when needed to support growth initiatives.

This position is to be in-office at our Palm Beach Gardens location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre- and post-event outreach to maximize trade show opportunities and nurture relationships.
  • Attend 2-3 industry conferences annually (travel required) to network and build strategic partnerships.
  • Field and qualify inbound leads, ensuring seamless follow-up and engagement.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers across various industries.
  • Proactively identify and research potential clients that would benefit from Atlantic Employee Screening's services.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting efforts as needed via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and marketing, to align business development efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities and lead progression within the company's CRM system (ActiveCampaign).
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, background screening regulations, and the competitive landscape.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a client-facing role is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Comfort with learning new technologies, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to network effectively and establish long-term business relationships.
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel for industry events (2-3 times per year).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives.
  • 100% employer-paid individual health and vision coverage.
  • Company-paid long-term disability (LTD) and life insurance.
  • Dental coverage available for purchase.
  • Simple IRA with up to 3% employer match.
  • Paid vacation and holidays.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement in a rapidly expanding company.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in business development while contributing to a mission-driven company that values integrity, customer service, and innovation. If you are social, driven, and eager to make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
