Direct Hire A growing creative team is seeking a
Business Development Representative (BDR) to join their sales department. This position plays a key role in identifying potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and managing leads through the sales pipeline. The current team includes three members, and they're looking to expand.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and qualify leads through cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement
Schedule meetings and tours for the sales team with potential clients
Maintain and update customer information using HubSpot CRM
Conduct market research to uncover new opportunities and better understand customer interests in creative services
Follow up with past leads and engage new prospects via phone and email
Collaborate with operations teams to coordinate project execution for clients
Assist in developing targeting strategies alongside the sales team
Track and report on sales activities and progress toward goals
Assist in creating sales presentations and proposals
Provide feedback to marketing regarding lead generation quality
Meet or exceed established monthly and quarterly sales goals
Learn and stay up to date on service offerings, industry trends, and competitive positioning
Participate in training to enhance sales techniques and product knowledge
Ensure adherence to internal sales processes and proper documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
1-2 years of experience in inside sales, account management, customer service, or a related field
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with cold calling, though most leads are inbound
Skilled in articulating value propositions and conducting business conversations
Familiarity with CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Highly organized with strong time-management skills
Professional, enthusiastic, and collaborative
Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and resilience in the face of rejection
Preferred Backgrounds:
Experience at creative agencies, production companies, or within TV/media/news organizations
Open to candidates from various industries with a strong sales foundation
