We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join a growing team in the packaging industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy sales professional with a passion for innovation and new business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities through research, outreach, and networking.
- Initiate and maintain contact with potential customers through calls, emails, social media, and industry events while continuing to introduce and upsell products and services
- Understand client needs and propose tailored packaging solutions to meet their business objectives.
- Track and manage leads, interactions, and sales activity using CRM tools
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform outreach strategies.
- Service and solicit business opportunities in the Tri-State area (NJ, PA, Del).
- Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to align on strategy and optimize lead conversion.
- Provide regular updates on pipeline development, lead status, and sales forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 3+ years of sales and client-facing experience; packaging industry experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of the retail companies in the tri state area a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Ability to learn and understand technical products and explain them clearly.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools.
