We are working on behalf of an Am Law 50 firm with more than 1,600 lawyers across 30 offices, to recruit a Business Development Manager. The Manager will support the chair of the Private Equity practice group to develop, lead, and execute on business development and marketing plans that support the overall goals of the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead business development efforts for the practice, manage and develop BD Coordinators, and ensure consistent contribution and high performance within the team.
- Project & Process Management: Lead RFPs, pitches, the development of key credentials, and prepare practice-related materials such as profiles, experience lists, and case studies.
- Practice & Market Insight: Gain deep understanding of the practice, services, market position, and identify cross-selling and private equity opportunities across the firm.
- Client Development: Identify new and existing client opportunities, conducting client research and analysis using firm systems and resources.
- Collaboration & Integration: Work cross-functionally with practice groups, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Administration to support BD initiatives and firm-wide integration.
Credentials and Expertise:
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree is required in Marketing or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of business development or marketing experience required, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or financial services environment.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring teams, with strong project and people management skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the law firm's pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience, skills and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $152,456 - $174,168.
