Position Summary
This position is for a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Rion Aesthetics, a spinoff of Rion, Inc., located in Rochester, MN. The BDM is responsible for generating sales in an assigned geographic territory. Call points will include Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons, and Medical Spas. The BDM will exemplify business acumen to create and maintain plans for the direct sale of Rion Aesthetics' products to physicians and skin care professionals. The candidate should demonstrate a track record of strong sales performance along with a proven ability to open new businesses. In addition, the BDM will be required to develop a territory through lead generation and expanding business with the existing customer base. They must be proficient with clinical selling, product education, and providing high levels of customer service in the aesthetic-physician dispensing industry. The BDM will collaborate with their sales team and manager to execute corporate direction.
Essential Functions
- Conduct daily in-person meetings with current and prospective customers at customers' offices to explain and sell the Company's products
- Develop and conduct in-person training programs regarding Company's products for customers' personnel at customers' offices
- Plan and conduct in-person promotional events at offices with customers and their clientele to increase sales and product pull-through
- Continuous development of existing customers and lead generation to develop new customers
- Plan sales activities and territory routing plan based on business priorities and allotted budget for defined geographic territory
Additional Functions:
- Continuous education relating to the Company's products
- Coordinate with other Company personnel to address current and prospective customers' questions and concerns
- Participate in Company sales meetings, conference calls and similar activities
- Regularly lift/move materials weighing up to 20 pounds
Minimum Requirements:
- 4-Year Degree from an accredited university highly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a B2B selling role with a preference for experience in skin care, medical device or specialty pharmaceutical sales
- Competency with video conferencing and Microsoft Teams
- Ability to travel 30% of the time or more, with overnight stays
- Occasional weekend travel required for conferences and company meetings
- Current driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
