Talent Compass is a staffing company based in Edmonton, Canada and as a part of our expansion, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for our team.


Responsibilities:

Business Development (50%):

  • This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand the company's staffing services
  • Identify, target, and engage potential clients within key industries to establish long-term business partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, HR professionals, and decision-makers
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends and opportunities for expansion
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure
  • Collaborate with recruitment teams to ensure successful placements and client satisfaction
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to enhance business opportunities
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs for revenue growth and client acquisition
  • Utilize cold calling strategies to uncover new business opportunities, gather market intelligence, and broaden our client network.

Recruitment (50%):

  • Assist in the recruitment process by collaborating with the team to identify and place suitable candidates, ensuring the right fit for client needs.
  • Identify, target, and engage potential candidates within the industry

Qualifications:

  • Proven background in business development or sales, preferably within the staffing or recruitment sector.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with acute attention to detail.
  • Capability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships in a competitive market
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
