Business Development Admin Birmingham, AL Job Summary The Business Development Admin (BDA) reports to the VP of Business Development or the Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) and is responsible for account engagement and management as well as prospecting as directed by opportunity and providing support to their immediate manager. The BDA is to learn and understand all services within MS Companies to aid in further growth within existing accounts in regions assigned by the Chief Business Development Officer or VP of Business Development.
The primary target accounts are automotive OEMs and tiered one- and two-supplier suppliers. The secondary target accounts include (Heavy Industry, Agriculture, Medical Devices, Appliances, and other manufacturing facilities).
The BDA will work with the VP to identify target accounts within the current book of business/region, stratify sales opportunities, and utilize effective methods for creating and maintaining a strong flow of current and prospect accounts in the inside sales pipeline and VP pipeline.
The BDA must provide support to the VP as well as maintain the current sales plan with specific goals, strategies, and action items aligned with the company plan. The VP will provide guidance and approval for the sales plan and sales strategies. To measure activities and goals, the BDA is expected to use our CRM Salesforce to track KPIs and have regular sales meetings with the VP or CBDO.
Sales activities include cold calling, setting meetings, conducting presentations, networking, entertaining, and interfacing with prospective clients.
The BDA will be required to attend after-hours events such as dinners, meetings, and other events with customers and prospective customers. Weekend events may also be periodically required.
The BDA may be requested to lead the payment collection process for accounts within the region. The BDA will attend regularly scheduled account receivables (AR) conference calls and report on the status of assigned accounts.
The BDA will be required to keep accurate records and report information promptly using various reporting methods (e.g., Salesforce CRM, Email, Spreadsheets, etc.). Responsibilities include receiving purchase orders and/ or other forms of service authorization.
Expectations- Follows all Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
- Compliance to sales processes and systems.
- Plan and execute the sales strategy within a specific geographic region.
- Frequently works more than 10 hours per day (50 hours per week) as dictated by sales requirements and customer demands.
- Minimum of seven weekly face-to-face or online meetings with new prospects and/or existing customers having a meaningful sales conversation and relationship build. That can include Teams Meetings/Google Meet, etc.
- Communicates daily to the VP and/or Operations to inform of any problems, issues, and/or concerns observed and/or reported by the customer. Escalates, when necessary, critical issues to senior management.

- Proficient at Excel. Experience with Salesforce CRM is preferred.
- Manage VP current customers and case follow ups.
- Generate and follow up for customer contract completion.
- Audit customer billing.
- Event prospecting and entry to aid VP in strategic event attendees for ROI and new business opportunities.
- Evaluate and execute business development opportunities that propel growth and profitability.
- Establish and maintain on-going customer relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential concerns.
- Sell the organization's products and/or services to established customers or new prospects.
- Handle the entire sales process from prospecting to close; reach or exceed sales targets. VP to support until promoted into Manager Role.
- Solicits and maintains contact with current and prospective key accounts.
- Track activity, prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status.
- Collaborate with the Finance Group to evaluate project performance and to recommend refinements and improvements of all components of proposals.
- Communicate the outcome of the negotiations/proposals back to internal groups, focusing on conveying the expectations set forth for each group, i.e., clear details, critical timeframes, and expectations.
- Assist in developing price estimates using standard models for business proposals.
Requirements- Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience.

- Ability to travel on short notice throughout the state of Alabama and as needed to other state site customers.
