Business Development Executive with a strong background in chemical reagents and industrial/laboratory equipment sales. The ideal candidate will drive sales growth, identify new business opportunities, and maintain key client relationships with customers in the commercial water treatment and petrochemical industries. Must be results oriented, customer-focused, and have a passion for sales.

Essential Responsibilities and Expectations: The ideal candidate for the Business Development Executive position must possess an ability to anticipate, comprehend, and respond to customer needs and concerns. A high degree of understanding of the commercial water treatment and petrochemical industries is required to develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients. Although not all inclusive, additional responsibilities, expectations and skills will include:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets.
- Present and promote the company's full range of chemical reagents and services.
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts in alignment with company guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business development strategies with overall company goals.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to represent the company.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and reports to management.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to meet sales and customer project goals and product deliveries.
- Record the status of accounts and transactions utilizing HubSpot.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of industry products and services.
Desired Skills, Education, and Knowledge: AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the
Business Development Executive position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, chemical or petroleum engineering, or related field with at least 5 years' proven sales experience in the water treatment, petroleum, and/or chemical industry.
Additional characteristics and skills include but are not limited to: - Must have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding customer expectations and/or receiving positive customer feedback.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce/HubSpot)
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Capacity to travel to customer locations, trade shows, and other business needs with little advance notice, using various forms of transportation.
- High degree of attention to detail.
