The (BDE) will play a pivotal role in identifying and developing new business opportunities in the EV market for our adhesive solutions. The BDE will be responsible for successfully initiating, managing, and completing customer projects and spec-in activities during the early stages of the vehicle design process for key initiatives with EV Tier 1 customers and partners. This role involves leading efforts to resolve technical challenges while ensuring long-term and sustainable business with key customers and partners. Additionally, the BDE will work within or lead project teams in the Automotive BU, which may be regional and/or global in scope. This position is ideal for a proactive individual who is keen to drive innovation and contribute to the growth of our business in the rapidly evolving EV sector. What you will do: Customer development: Develop and execute business development plans tailored to the EV market strategy to drive company growth Utilize CRM, LinkedIn, cold calling, and other prospecting channels to initiate new projects Establish and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients within the EV sector. Technical Sales: Leverage engineering knowledge to understand and address complex technical challenges faced by EV customers. Offer technical support, product demonstrations, and training to clients. Solve technical pain points and convince customers of new tesa solutions during the consideration phase. Understand and negotiate product requirement profiles Product and Technology Development: Evaluate if existing products fulfill requirements or if new developments are needed. Translate customer needs to product needs and create business cases if the existing product portfolio does not meet requirements. Ensure that product developments are initiated and completed according to the customer's design/validation process. Sales and Negotiation: Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities within the EV market and successfully closing deals. Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D and product development teams. Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted promotional materials and campaigns. What you will need: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts. 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or technical sales automotive or EV industry. Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Must have a current, valid driver's license, passport, and physical ability to drive for lengthy periods.
