Position title: Business Development & Customer Engagement Executive - US Air Force/US Space Force Location: Huntsville, AL (Flexible) Clearance: Top Secret (TS/SCI preferred) Our great client is seeking a talented and highly experienced professional to join our fast-growing team. As a senior member of our growth team, this position is responsible for identifying and obtaining new work for the company, growing the company's revenue and maintaining great customer relationships. Additional responsibilities include customer engagements, performing market research, new work expansion, and assisting on must-win recompetes and proposals as required. Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for identifying new business development opportunities in the Air Force and US Space Force markets.
Leverage proven senior-level leadership and extensive community relationships to obtain customer engagements, and business-to-business (B2B) engagements.
Research customers' requirements, opportunities, contracts, competitors, solutions, specific opportunities, teaming partners and potential key personnel needed to successfully capture Government Contracts.
As part of the integrated our client's growth team, you will conduct market research, perform lead generation, and make CRM updates; you will also ensure volume and velocity of pipeline is kept within established our client's growth standards.
Establish leads/contacts with potential customers, develop and provide company awareness/capabilities briefings, attend marketing/business development conferences/seminars, provide information for bid/no bid decision making, and help develop/foster teaming arrangements with other companies.
As an integrated part of the our client's growth team, you will prioritize, lead, and execute capture strategies within assigned portfolio.
Assist in the development of overall proposal strategy, proposal development, and color reviews to ensure high pWIN submissions.
Manage key stakeholder relationships and keep the leadership team informed and engaged in advancing strategic partnerships with clients and industry partners.
Directly contribute to sell-out of existing contracts
Qualifications: Active security clearance
BA/BS degree is required
Existing relationships with the Air Force and/or US Space Force community and decision-makers.
10+ years of experience with management of complex technical solutions, capture and proposal development efforts for the Air Force and/or US Space Force.
Team and detail oriented; must also be able to self-lead and work alone as required.
Hunger to grow; a proven passion for problem solving and growth-mindedness
High level of emotional intelligence and proven executive presence
Proven abilities to communicate multi-step and interdependent activities effectively to capture teams and ensure efficient execution of captured efforts.
Must have a proven win record and hands on proposal development experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Proven business development experience of AF/Space Force services via high pWIN shaping, proposal efforts, and on-contract-growth (OCG).
Proven experience with successful execution of all phases of a large and multi-year capture effort, including strategic planning, teaming, proposals, market, or competitive and price-to-win analyses
15+ years of leadership/management within Air Force and/or US Space Force with direct relationships with decision makers.
AF/DoD program management, contract management experience (evidenced by experience and/or DAWIA certifications).
DoD Contractor experience as successful Business Development (BD) and/or Profit & Loss (P&L) Account lead; must have evidence of successful experience.
Highly desirable to also have additional non-AF/non-Space Force relationships with DoD, Federal and/or IC clients and decision-makers.
