We are seeking a highly motivated/team-oriented Business Development & Capture Coordinator to join our team at our company headquarters in Huntsville, AL. This position is responsible for all aspects of Business Development and capture for enGenius. We support the U.S. Department of Defense and many Civilian Agencies, and our goal is to help our U.S. Government customers achieve their mission objectives. SUMMARY: Business Development & Capture Coordinator reports directly to the President and performs a critical role in researching new business opportunities, shaping, developing, tracking, and assisting in winning new business, and achieving annual growth targets. The Business Development & Capture Coordinator is responsible for activities related to the capture research life cycle on short- and long-term opportunities for new business under existing IDIQ's/BPA's and standalone procurements. Responsibilities: BD/Capture activities to identify, qualify and create new business opportunities Manage, update, and maintain a robust pipeline Accountable for guiding Gate Reviews with Bid/No Bid decision-making. Research and recommend proposal teaming partners, work with Contracts Department to secure NDAs, and Teaming Agreements for proposal efforts. Conduct initial screening to verify company/team core capabilities meet PWS requirements. Work cohesively with internal/external resources: Proposal managers, technical consultants, recruiting, PMO for determining executability of opportunities. Regularly attend industry meetings/conferences to identify new opportunities, professionally represent the company, and network with customers and potential partners. Monitor eBuy, SAM.gov, FDPS, and GovWin to qualify bids against the company's past performance
Visit with potential new customers
Research and build relationships with new customers
Maintain good communication with the client, supervisor and peers within the organization to ensure both positive and negative feedback is communicated
Maintain and strengthen existing team member relationships and establish new partners
Take part in proposal process with the assistance of a proposal coordinator
Meet with the President to brief status on a weekly basis
Research new markets for possible entry Requirements: Minimum Associates Degree in a technical or business field. Experience may be substituted for a Degree.
At least five to ten years of experience as a Federal Contracting capture, stage/gate process, capture management presentations/reviews, and Bid/No Bid decisions.
Experience in the following GSA eBuy; Deltek GovWin; SAM.gov.
Experience creating/managing/using capture pipelines.
Working knowledge of technical services concepts and Federal acquisition processes.
Researcher, writer, and strategist who can be a leader or individual contributor.
U.S. citizen and now have (or have previously held) a Secret Clearance.
Experience developing and contributing to proposal development.
Experience with supporting the writing and development of IDIQ and task order proposals
Must have effective interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills for a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences to include internal and external stakeholders.
Must be able to remain composed while handling multiple tasks with deadlines
Working knowledge of MS Office and other standard software suites
Travel will be required Desired Skills & Experience: Formal Shipley process proposal training is a plus
Experience with CRM tools desired.
Bachelor's degree desired
