Business Development Associate - Private Equity Deal Sourcing
Job Description:
As a deal sourcing professional, you will be at the heart of deal origination for some of the most dynamic and high-profile private equity funds in the industry. This is a rare opportunity to gain direct, hands-on exposure to leading private equity firms and their portfolio companies, working on their behalf to help shape their investment thesis, identify, source, and execute deals with business owners across a wide range of industries that fit their criteria.
Working closely with senior deal professionals, you'll become deeply integrated into the private equity landscape, gaining firsthand experience in how these firms assess investment opportunities, execute transactions, and navigate the complexities of deal-making. You will help our clients expand their portfolios by identifying promising businesses, facilitating strategic connections, and driving forward key initiatives for high-value M&A transactions.

Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key player in driving deal flow for top-tier private equity funds, gaining intimate exposure to the deal-making process and the strategies that drive successful investments.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key C-Suite executives and decision-making personnel at target companies
- Manage relationships with senior deal team professionals and top M&A talent
- Source and engage with high-potential companies on behalf of our private equity clients, offering solutions to their immediate business needs and aligning them with strategic investment opportunities.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts for clients, playing an integral role in supporting deal teams to ensure smooth and effective execution of mandates.
- Obtain SIE, 79 and 63 licenses. These will be paid for and scheduled by the firm
Qualifications:
- Cold-calling or sales experience preferred
- Client management background and service orientation are a must
- Positive, thick-skinned, and resilient attitude
- Confident and strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to forge deep personal relationships very quickly with senior-level executives
- Desire to exceed expectations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and comfortable with database management (i.e. - CRM) preferred
- Working knowledge of the business world with the opportunity to substantially expand and deepen your understanding of a variety of businesses, business models, and industries
- Demonstrated history of professionalism, accountability, resourcefulness, and integrity
- A self-starter, hungry for a challenge and desire to help build a world-class business alongside a winning team
- Position is full-time in our El Segundo, CA office
Compensation:
- Annual Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
- Bonus Potential: $25,000 - $115,000+
