Position Summary: The Business Branch Manager is accountable for the overall management and profitability of designated branch(s) and/or market through proactive customer relationship building activities, community leadership, staff development and customer retention. Develops sales plans and executes sales strategies to drive new customer growth and deposit generation. Makes sales calls, gathers information, develops leads, and establishes relationships through a network of referral sources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements tailored sales and customer experience strategies for assigned market. Ensures successful execution of those strategies, including continuous monitoring of local competitive and business environments. Proactively identifies and develops business opportunities.
  • Lead and motivate Assistant Branch Manager and staff to exceed performance goals and deliver exceptional Client service.
  • Utilizes available tools to retain and enhance existing business customers, and proactively seeks new business relationships. Works with other internal business partners to refer and grow business relationships.
  • Provides growth opportunities for employees to develop and maintain their skills at the highest levels. Retains employees by fostering a climate of mentoring, leadership and empowerment. Recognizes and rewards outstanding performers.
  • Collaborate with branch staff to develop relationship building strategies to ensure goal attainment and maximum satisfaction.
  • Identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities that align with the bank's values and strategic objectives
  • Cultivates and maintains strong partnerships with all departments.
  • Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
  • Actively participates in civic and community activities to promote a positive image of Eastern and our products and services.
  • Actively learns, demonstrates and fosters our corporate culture of service in all words and actions.
  • Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to follow.

  • NMLS, Mortgage and consumer lending certification preferred. Must be able to obtain certification within one year of hire date.

  • Flexibility to respond to multiple ad hoc assignments or situations and remain organized
  • Ability to interact and work collaboratively with a wide range of staff throughout the organization

  • Working knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Windows based computer systems including Word, Excel, etc.; ability to learn internal bank software

Educations & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or significant related career experience
  • Experience in sales management and business development
  • Proven knowledge of banking procedures, policies, regulations, employee development and public relations.

Typical professional office environment

Some lifting required (up to 50 lbs.)

Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one desk/location to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure

Monitored by surveillance cameras for security purposes

May require some travel
