Job Responsibilities
  • Primarily responsible for the management review program by ensuring all areas are in compliance with established policies and procedures by updating institutional audit files on an annual basis.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the institution's budget and fixed assets' audit.
  • Enter shopping carts and receive invoices through SCEIS.
  • Prepare and maintain records and filing system for special funds accounts.
  • Serve as the IRC sponsor and file retention coordinator.
  • Responsible for ordering and inventorying all consumables for the center.
  • Serve as the back-up to the business associate (work release-inmate pay).
  • Serve as the administrative support for the Chaplain.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Knowledge of SCEIS/shopping cart and Microsoft Office.
  • Additional duties and alternative hours may be required.

Must successfully complete four (4) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
  • Two (2) years of responsible clerical, secretarial, or administrative experience.
  • May be required to have experience in use of personal computers.
