Position Title: Business and Strategy Manager Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position Clearance Type: DoD Secret Shift: Day shift Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business and Strategy Manager to lead and drive key strategic financial initiatives, long-range financial planning, and operational excellence activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial analysis, government contracting, and strategic planning, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and deliver impactful results. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of working cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals. Description of Duties: The Business and Strategy Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Financial Planning: o Develop and execute long-range strategic financial plans aligned with company objectives, considering market trends, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities.
• Financial Management & Analysis: o Lead financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-term financial modeling. o Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial performance.
• Government Contract Management: o Oversee the financial and operational aspects of government contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations and maximizing profitability. Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) is critical.
• Team Leadership: o Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts and other staff. o Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Risk Management: o Identify and mitigate financial risks to business objectives, developing contingency plans and corrective actions as needed.
• Reporting & Communication: o Prepare and present regular reports on business performance, strategic initiatives, and financial results to senior management. o Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: o Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the finance organization.
• Financial Modeling & Analysis: o Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis. The successful candidate will:

• Must have 15, or more, years of progressive financial experience
• Must have 10, or more, years in government FP&A, operational finance, and proposal management.
• Must have experience leading, managing, and mentoring teams
• Must have Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required.
• Must have expert level knowledge of financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Must have extensive experience in managing and reporting cost for complex government contracts.
• Must have a strong understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and related methodologies.
• Must have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• Must have experience with financial software such as COBRA, SAP, Deltek Costpoint, COGNOS, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, MPM, wInsight, SharePoint, Fieldglass, QuickBooks, AutoCAD, JAMIS, WAWF, and NetSuite.
• Must have experience with Visual Basics Automation (VBA) for automating Excel workflows.
• Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Requirements:
• Have experience working in enterprise or government IT environments.
• Be familiar with automation/scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for network and security operations.
• Have a deep understanding of financial principles, analysis, and reporting.
• Have extensive experience with government contract management, including EVMS.
• Have experience developing and executing long-range strategic financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Have the demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex financial and operational challenges.
• Have experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and VBA. This position is expected to pay $180,000 - $205,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days.
