We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team as a leader who can support the development of strategic goals while actively engaging stakeholders to meet and communicate their needs. The ideal candidate will be able to identify strategic gaps and policy improvement opportunities and develop comprehensive and integrated solutions based on proven methodologies and IT frameworks.

Ability to decompose a technical problem into its sub-components and build a plan to rigorously tackle the analysis that is defensible and repeatable. Strong strategic communication skills to include presenting concepts in easy-to-understand formats and actively listening to identify business problems and their causes. Confidence to drive assignments to completion. Eagerness to learn and develop. Duties:
Knowledgeable in Policy, IT Governance, and project management best practices on a large government software or data analytic development contract. Support the team tracking and reporting to clients on multiple executive priorities on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Create or apply data visualization to enterprise data to advance and enable the Department's key mission outcomes.
Define methods, means for communications delivery methods, and align stakeholder segmentations/personas to optimal communication approaches.
Prioritize and direct multiple high visibility data visualization and IT Governance projects across DHS mission spaces.
Interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups (from technical subject matter experts to senior executives).
Direct the development, roll out and improvement of project tracking tool (Jira Confluence) and provide support in developing reference documentation.
Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies aligned to proven methodologies and IT frameworks. Facilitate meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings (brainstorming sessions, status meetings, requirements gathering sessions, etc.) Serve as the key interface between the users and the project managers they gather information, document processes, and confirm the final documents with users.
Effectively communicate status, next steps, insights, schedules, etc. with cross-functional team members and management. Prepare executive level-briefing materials (e.g., memos, papers, presentations etc.) on a weekly and Ad-Hoc basis.
Utilize standard templates to gather information on items going through the IT Governance process.
Review and direct development of team products including presentation, meeting minutes, etc.
Create training materials and provide training to new system users. Continually update training materials as the system undergoes enhancements.
Highlight notable technical advancements, accomplishments through program reporting and key metrics.
Analyze stakeholder feedback to understand and define experiences, pain points, and future needs.
