ASSYST is seeking a Business Analyst to support our government customer based in Tallahassee, Florida. The Business Analyst is responsible for the analysis, documentation, and process mapping of current state business and IT systems as part of an enterprise application modernization program.

This position is %100 onsite
Location - Tallahassee, Florida

Scope of Work:
  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and document business needs, objectives, and challenges.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, surveys, and meetings to gather requirements.
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Create detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS).
  • Prepare use cases, process flow diagrams, and system mockups to visualize solutions.
  • Maintain documentation for future reference and audit purposes.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding of requirements.
  • Conduct presentations and walkthroughs for stakeholders to validate requirements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
  • Test proposed solutions to verify they meet business needs and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Identify gaps or issues in the proposed solutions and suggest modifications.
  • Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements or optimizations.
  • Implement best practices and standards in business analysis and documentation.
  • Provide insights into trends and patterns through data analysis.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant technical or business work experience.
  • Strong skills in analyzing and documenting technical and business processes, identifying bottlenecks, and analyzing inefficiencies.
  • Experience with data mapping, data modeling, and data integration between systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with business process mapping and defining current state applications in requirements documentation.
  • Experience facilitating sessions with business leadership, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and users.
  • Understanding of web applications and common application approaches to support business capabilities.
