Business Analyst role at Union County Savings Bank. The role will be located at UCSB's Administrative Offices in Springfield, New Jersey, however travel to the other Union County branches will be required as needed. Please note that this role is NOT REMOTE.
Who we are: Union County Savings Bank is a community bank with four branches in Union County. The Bank was founded in 1883 to serve the local communities of Union County and remains strongly committed to these communities today. Currently the team at UCSB is implementing new technologies to make banking with us easier. The Bank is also rolling out new products and services designed to meet the expanding needs of our customers while preserving our pledge of security, safety and service.
What we are looking for: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our dynamic banking team. In this role, you will leverage data-driven insights to support decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and mitigate risks. You will analyze financial data, customer trends, and operational performance to drive strategic initiatives across the bank. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high impact environment within the financial services industry. Additional duties and responsibilities include:
• Data Collection & Integration: Collect, clean and organize raw data from multiple sources for analysis.
• Data Analysis: Analyze data trends and patterns to generate insights that support business decisions.
• Reporting: Create visualizations and dashboards to present findings in clear and actionable ways.
• Data Visualization: Use software tools to analyze data and generate reports.
• Teamwork: Work cross-functionally with various teams (marketing, finance, operations, etc.) to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
• Data Quality Management: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the data.
• Adaptability: Perform ad-hoc analyses to support decision making.
The ideal candidate will possess: - Prior experience in the financial or banking industry is strongly preferred.
- Superior knowledge of the MS Office suite of products, specifically Excel.
- Proven analytical skills including mining, evaluation and visualization.
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports and presentations.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Experience with data analysis totals or software is a plus (e.g., COCC Insight, Crystal Reports).
