About the role:

The role of Manger/ Sr. Manager, Customer & Market Insights, Brand Campaign Research will join Salesforce's world-class research, analysis, and listening function that delivers objective, actionable data-driven insights to help Salesforce stay relevant, deliver sharp creative and marketing strategies, and keep our competition on its toes.

This is a short-term (6-months) contract role for a team member on leave which may nor may not extend in duration.
Period: February 2024 - August 2024

The Customer & Market Insights team is a strategic company asset within the Salesforce Marketing organization. This role will support the research needs of our marketing team, mainly aligning to the brand, creative, campaigns and sports marketing leadership teams. You will serve as both a chief evangelist and storyteller within our marketing organization about our sports sponsorships, brand campaigns, and how we improve our campaign and creative performance over time.

Who we're looking for:

We're looking for an individual who's excited about brand research, sports marketing measurement, and the impact campaign and creative can have on brands. The ideal candidate will be a research professional with a strong consultative approach who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. Campaign/media measurement (background or skill set?) and understanding is imperative. They are passionate about discovering impactful insights, delivering thoughtful recommendations and influencing business decisions to maximize value.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop deep knowledge of the business, customer, sport/league and competitive landscape
In addition to fielding stakeholder requests, use knowledge of the business to proactively identify new research opportunities and listening engagements
Translate business questions into research plans that included mixed method research programs (qualitative and quantitative, primary and secondary)
Collaborate with peers and other subject-matter experts to analyze results, identify key insights, and generate clear business recommendations
Influence senior executives to inform business decisions using research-based insights
Proactively socialize research with other researchers and key stakeholders
Work within cross functional strategy and measurement teams on ways to understand asset/creative performance and overall campaign effectiveness
Ability to travel on rare occasion (one a quarter or less) for in-person engagements and/or listening events

Required Skills & Qualifications:

6+ years experience in market research or a related field
Expertise in primary qualitative and quantitative research methods as well as analysis of secondary data from various sources
Must have experience using the following tools (or analogous) and working with the following types of vendors: Excel/Google Sheets, Google Slides,
Deep understanding of brand and advertising research and principles
Experience working with sports marketing or sponsorship campaigns including media valuation, sponsorship impact and ROI measurement
Customer-obsessed and relentless in leveraging insights to inform business decisions
Proven track record of influencing and inspiring cross-functional peers and senior leaders to take action on insights or new opportunities
Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced, startup environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to translate data and insights into powerful, compelling stories that bring customers to life and inspire action
Strong written communication, verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
BA, BS, or equivalent degree required

Bonus Skills & Qualifications:

Programming and data analysis experience using online survey tools or dashboards
A mix of client and supplier side market research and media experience
Understanding of enterprise software, CRM applications, and/or B2B products
