Our client a major international retail group, known for its supermarket chains is looking to hire a Business Analyst to join their team in Quincy, MA. This is a 6-month contract hybrid position.
As their Business Analyst you will plan, conduct, and direct the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems and applications. Partnering with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Writing of functional requirements
- Researching application functionality and recommending development solutions to a third-party development team
- Knowledge and previous experience utilizing COBOL, Easytrieve, IMS, VSAM, JCL, SQL and DB2 overseeing development activities and reviewing test results by a third-party vendor
- Conducting UAT with the business and recommending implementation strategies is a significant part of the work as well.
