Role: Business Analyst (Domain) Type: Contract Work Location: NYC, NY (3 days onsite) Contract Duration: 36 months Hourly Pay Rate: Standard Project Description: Current/LMS is a multi-year software development and business process transformation project aimed at increasing housing stability for low-income New Yorkers. This project is the system of record for the client's program and is the system in which all of Client and HRA's contracted service providers submit rental assistance applications of all types to DSS. Current also has a public facing portal for landlords to view rent payments and keep payment information up to date and consolidates all landlord, property and rent-related payment information across all DSS programs that issue rent payments.
Tasks & Duties: - General support to the BPI Project Director and agency staff
- Schedules meetings as requested.
- Provides expertise in Azure to assist with finding requirements documentation when needed, for example, for creation of training materials, to answer a question from a stakeholder, etc.
- Provides access to the UAT environment when needed, for example, for program testers or for the training team.
- Ensures that all deadlines are met so that development stays on track.
- Management of defects in Azure
- Runs the 3x weekly defect meeting which includes reviewing the defect board, discussing the defect and determining the priority and severity.
- Document defect severity, priority and planned release in Azure.
- Coordination with ITS to send out a monthly notification of known defects with workarounds.
- Maintenance the defect dashboard to share with agency leadership needing a high-level overview.
- Coordination of defect re-test sessions with the vendor, ITS, BPI and EPMO
- Management of enhancements
- Add enhancement tickets to the project backlog in Azure
- Works with BPI, EPMO and program to assign a priority level to every new enhancement and add details/descriptions for the vendor and ITS.
- Coordination with BPI staff and project staff as needed to review, provide comments on each user story written for project.
- Tracks and maintains all comments added by BPI, EPMO and program to the detailed requirements and documents BPI and ITS signoff on each user story written for project.
- Monitors the Azure board for updates to requirements from ITS in response to comments to ensure requested updates have been made.
- Maintenance of version control to ensure that all comments from business stakeholders and responses to the vendor or ITS are maintained in requirements documentation.
- Management of User Acceptance testing
- Coordination with vendor and ITS to schedule UAT with BPI, EPMO and program testers
- Development of test scenarios, ensuring test scenarios are complete based on acceptance criteria.
- Runs of the UAT sessions, which involves changing user roles for different workflows, ensuring that each step of the testing is followed by the users, taking screenshots to demonstrate that a scenario/requirement has passed or failed.
- Updates tickets in Azure after UAT to record the pass or fail.
- Support to the Level 2 Help Desk Team/ Project Management
- Attends the daily L2 defect triage meeting and provides guidance to ITS project help desk staff.
- Assists in determining which tickets require escalation to L3, which require data fixes, which are training issues that require an explanation of functionality.
- Tracking of project action items across BPI, ITS and vendor.
- Tracking of project risks
- Running the bi-weekly program update meeting where action items and risks are discussed.
